How to take Wegovy Pills

Wegovy tablets must be taken correctly to allow appropriate absorption.

Wegovy tablets should be taken:

• Once daily.
• On an empty stomach.
• After at least 8 hours fasting.
• With up to 100ml water.
• Swallowed whole.
• Not crushed, chewed, split or broken.
• At least 30 minutes before food, drink or other oral medicines.

If you take other morning medicines, vitamins or supplements, you may need to adjust the timing so they are taken at least 30 minutes after Wegovy tablets.

Patients taking time-critical medicines are advised to contact our team for guidance. Examples include diabetes medicines, levothyroxine, blood pressure medicines, heart medicines, epilepsy medicines or medicines requiring strict timing.



AlertWegovy tablets have specific absorption requirements. Food, drink and other oral medicines can affect how well the medicine is absorbed. This is why they should be taken after at least 8 hours fasting and at least 30 minutes before food, drink or other oral medicines.
