Spoiled Medication

Spoiled Medication

If a pouched medicine is spoilt  (dropped or spat out at the point of administration):
  1. Take the reel of pouches out of their Dispensing Box & pull out the last corresponding pouch.
  2. Check that the last pouch includes the medication that needs replacing.
  3. Take that medicine from that pouch, and carefully record the other items as ‘wasted’.
  4. Notify PillTime and we can ensure an extra pouch or an original box is included on the next cycle.
  5. For service users who frequently spoil medication, you can order a back-up 7 day supply from your GP which we can dispense in Original Packs for you.
