How Does PillTime Pouching Work?
PillTime uses advanced AI and robotic technology to package each medication dose into individual pouches. These pouches undergo rigorous checks with the latest robotic and scan technology, supervised by experienced pharmacists to ensure both accuracy and quality.
What Is the Accuracy of PillTime Pouching?
Our BD Rowa robot prepares each pouch to meet pharmacist specifications. An Accuracy Checker (AC) verifies each medication before it enters the robot’s canister. Once filled, pouches are optically scanned and rechecked by an AC, guaranteeing 100% accuracy.
How Many Pills Fit in One Pouch?
Each pouch can hold between 5 to 7 pills. If your dose includes more than 7 pills, multiple pouches will be used to accommodate all items.
How Do You Open the Pouches?
Pouches are designed to be easily opened by tearing the right-hand side. The left side is sealed to maintain medication safety, so ensure you tear along the right side.
How Do Pouches Differ from Dossette Boxes?
PillTime’s labeled pouches are pre-sorted by dose, eliminating manual sorting. Our robust checking systems ensure accuracy and reliability, providing a more streamlined solution than dossette boxes.
Can All Items from My Prescription Go into Pouches?
While we strive to include as many medications as possible, some items may not be suitable for pouches. Common exclusions include dispersible or hygroscopic medicines, controlled drugs, medications taken on an as-needed basis, and chewable drugs. Unpouched items will be delivered with your monthly order, following your doctor’s instructions for safety.
